The Asian Conference on Technology in the Classroom (ACTC) is now in its seventh year and is held annually alongside The Asian Conference on Language Learning (ACLL). Since 2011 more than 1200 delegates have attended this annual interdisciplinary event, which takes place in Japan in the spring.

In 2016 ACTC/ACLL attracted 200 attendees representing 27 countries – a truly international event. This diversity is an amazing comparative and contrastive resource, especially for language teachers.



      Registration Type


          The majority of ACLL/ACTC conference attendees are university faculty, with 67% holding an academic post. At 12% of the total registered delegates, postgraduate and doctoral students make up the next largest group of attendees. The remaining attendees come from the public sector and NGOs (11%), with 9% registered as “other” and 1% from the business sector.

          Gender representation at the conference was fairly equal, with 59% female and 41% male attendees.
